About the College of Science |
The College of Science is the pacesetter of academic excellence in the Philippines today - the acknowledged national center of excellence for advanced education and research in the basic and applied sciences and mathematics. In the 2nd semester, SY 2008-2009, the College employs 147 PhD faculty members who are serving the needs of 1,497 BS, 31 MA, 524 MS and 171 PhD students. It has produced a total of 323 PhD, 1,154 MS and 5,905 BS graduates between May 1983 and April 2008. The College operates the National Science Complex which was established by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on 8 December 2006 in her Executive Order No. 583. |
